Winter Camping at Pace Bend Park

Winter Camping at Pace Bend Park

Last summer I bought a Kamp-Rite tent before going hiking in Colorado but decided not to bring it because we were going to have a lot of hiking. Since then I hadn't got a chance to use it.

I noticed the weather in Austin warm up slightly on last weekend. Therefore Mitch and I decided to go camping at Pace Bend Park on Friday. I really wanted to test out the tent before using it for a long road trip in the summer.

With an extra sleeping pad, the tent was really comfy except when I woke up in the early morning, there was full of condensation inside the tent. Literally, it would rain on me if I shook the tent! Next time I will definitely unzip the cover slightly to reduce humidity inside.

Surprisingly I slept better and on my bed at home! I woke up around 7 a.m. and the view was spectacular! Good thing about living in Texas is there are plenty of beautiful places to explore as long as you are willing to put down your busy schedule. Here are some photos and I hope you had a great weekend as well!
