Photoessay: Kyoto

I always tell people Kyoto is one of my favorite cities that I have been to, although I can't quite explain why I like it so much. Maybe it is the spectacular architecture? Or the intriguing culture and history? Probably it is the combination of everything that makes it a unique and special place.

This second time to Kyoto, I got to take a slower pace in exploring the town instead of trying to capture everything. I truly enjoyed my journey in Kyoto except the weather really beat me. Being there in January, it was just a little too cold. The sunset seemed to be earlier and it got down to 25 degrees in the early evening when I was there.

Kyoto is a city that always has something beautiful for photographers regardless of which season you are visiting. If you are visiting for the first time, I would recommend you to stay near Shijo Dori, since it is a busy street that connecting many interesting spots. For now, please enjoy my photos and comment if you have any questions.
