Peanuts characters like Snoopy and Charlie Brown, created by Charles M. Schulz, are world-famous. Although I didn't grow up with the comic strip, I find the characters charming and adorable. So when I first heard about the collaboration between Peanuts and Coach, I wasn't passionate about the news. After all, Peanuts' collaborations with brands seem to have popped up everywhere lately. I think I saw some on Marc Jacobs, Todd Snyder, Zara, Puma, and L. L. Bean's website. Options are out there, and I didn't feel the need to get products from the Coach X Peanuts collaboration. However, since I am a member of Coach Facebook groups, it is hard to hold my ground. Hanging out with a group of Coach shopaholics quickly changed how I felt about their collaboration release. I wasn't sure I should get them, but I thought I needed to do so. I guess you could say I was under the influence.

The exact release date and time were unclear for the drop. Officially it should be out on July 18th for insiders, but then it was moved up to July 14th. Based on what they showed on the website, new products would be up at 6 am central time on Thursday. I am a night owl. Do I want to wake up early to throw my money at Coach? I didn't even wake up to fight for a Telfar bag. But, I decided I needed to do it since people were saying products might be sold out fast. It was the effect of FOMO, which is fear of missing out if you didn't know what FOMO means. I set my alarm at 5:55 am, but somehow I woke up before 5 am. I thought I would turn on my phone to look since Coach has been random with their restocking schedule. And right there! They had already restocked the collaboration items at 5 am central time!

Looking through the products, I wasn't sure what I wanted to get. Products consisted of three themes. The Peanuts graphic was either on Coach signature canvas, yellow leather, or blue leather. I had said many times in my reviews that I wasn't into monograms. Of course, yellow is the color of the year for Pantone, but I don't see myself out and about with a yellow bag. I do love blue in general, but the blue base tone they chose for the collaboration was not my cup of tea. The colors were popping, but it was hard to see them matching up with my outfits.

After going back and forth on the page, I ended up buying a Coach X Peanuts City Tote In Signature Canvas With Snoopy Print, a matching Carryall Pouch In Signature Canvas With Snoopy Print, and a Snoopy Bag Charm! It was the first time I bought anything with Coach signature canvas print, I wasn't sure I would like it, but I figured I could always return them if I wasn't into it.

Coach sent out my order the next day, and I received my package after two days! The shipping was blazing fast, considered they were probably bombarded with orders due to the collaboration release. I was pleased with their shipping speed, but the way they packaged my order was simply less than desired. When the box arrived outside my house, the package was already half-opened. In addition, the packing tape only covered half of the box. As a result, anyone could come and fish out my stuff if they wanted to. Moreover, it was the second time I experienced their poor packaging within a month.

Not sure if my UPS delivery guy had taken a peek at what's inside my box. To ensure all items are still inside after he dropped off my package, I went ahead to open and checked right away. Luckily, nothing was missing or damaged at first glance. I opened up each item, and I was amazed by the quality of products from this collaboration. I have always loved what Coach is offering, even from their outlet site. This batch of products still managed to give me a pleasant surprise. The signature canvas with Snoopy print was cuter in person! It was love at first sight! The moment I saw the bag and the pouch, I regretted not buying more! Unfortunately, the Coach X Peanuts collection did get sold out fast, and most items are no longer available online at this point. Also, when Coach first released the products for Coach Insiders, they were mostly 50% off. By the time it hit their outlet stores, the discount had become 40%. The higher price tags at the outlet store didn't seem to deter Peanuts lovers and merchandise flippers, and I heard people went in with a wagon and wiped out the shelves!

At this point, I don't know if I will ever buy more from this collection due to the limited availability. However, recent purchases have changed how I feel about coated canvas material from Coach. The coated canvas appeared to be tougher and more durable than I imagined, and the maintenance will probably be easier as well. Were you able to snatch anything from this collection? What have you bought?
