Visiting Valley Forge National Historical Park

There's no better time to explore than in the fall when it is not raining. Besides the occasional drizzling, the temperature is perfect to be out there, enjoying the cool breeze and spectacular fall leaves. So instead of going to the King of Prussia Mall, I took a trip to Valley Forge National Historical Park to check out the scenery and to brush up on my American history knowledge.

Valley Forge National Historical Park is a place where they reimagined and reconstructed the Continental Army encampment site from their winter camp of 1777-1778 during the Revolutionary War. The park is on 3500 acres of land, and you will see beautiful meadows and woodlands on top of some interesting statues, monuments, along with a recreated encampment site. Therefore, even if you are not big on history, it is still an excellent place to appreciate the outdoor time and observe the change in seasons.

Since the park is vast, I didn't have enough time to make every stop, but I did check out Washington's Headquarters. They did have some neat setups in the building, and I could see what it looked like back in the 1700s. It was intriguing to see how different life was for people who lived there compared to what's expected today in our life.
